Steve Olson Trio LIVE in Concert at Brentwood Arts Exchange April 17th

Steve Olson is a drummer, percussionist, and composer who lives near New Windsor, Maryland. After playing many styles of jazz, his focus in recent years has been in modern free improvisation and experimental music.

His most recent recording, Conversations – a collection of freely improvised duets with jazz artists Michael Formanek, Dave Ballou, Tony Martucci and others – was nominated as the 2014 Jazz Recording of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association.

His current trio features two talented Baltimore-area musicians: tenor saxophonist Derrick Michaels, and guitarist Nick Saia.

Their performance at the Brentwood Arts Exchange will feature an evening of freely improvised jazz.
