busboys-and-poets-logo-small1Busboys & Poets is seeking work by artists to exhibit at its Hyattsville, Maryland location.

Art exhibitions run for approximately 3-6 months. Work can be for sale and Busboys receives no commission.

Busboys is currently revamping its “First Friday”, a meet and greet the artist opportunity, and is working in conjunction with other local arts organizations to develop arts discussions and collectors’ meetups at its locations by the first of the year, 2015. Artist info cards highlighting the works on display at each of the Busboys’ locations will also be in place by October, 2015. The Busboys’ website is currently being updated to include all current and past artists who have exhibited at each location.

Busboys is seeking 2 dimensional work that is a commentary on the following topics: life, social justice, transformation and the interconnectedness of all human beings.

Please forward 7-10 jpegs listing title, medium and price to Carol R. Dyson, Curator in Residence at art@busboysandpoets.com.
For any additional information, feel free to contact Carol at the email address listed above.

Please also note, art and artists do not have to be exclusive only to the Hyattsville location. By the end of the year, Busboys will have 6 locations open to the public and available for artists to display their work. Busboys is interested in connecting with neighboring arts resources to support their efforts.
