ART LIVES HERE

Creative Life in the Gateway Arts District

Live Music, Skateboard Deck Painting, this weekend at the Southside Music & Skateboarding Series

Don’t miss this weekend’s Southside Music & Skateboarding Series kicking off at 12 noon with live music by guitar-bass-drum trio Marc Blackwood, John Lee, & Matt Tebo, and DJ sets by InnerLoop. Bring your own grillables and we’ll cook them up for you while you watch cheer on MD Skate Season skateboarding competition. Kids can participate in the 2-4 pm skateboarding deck workshop with either their own boards, or we have a limited number available for free!

The Southside Music & Skateboarding Series is funded by the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission and administered by The Brentwood Arts Exchange in partnership with Art Lives Here/Joe’s Movement Emporium. Additional support is provided by the Gateway Arts District and the Maryland State Arts Council. Special thanks to our host Margaret Boozer-Strother of Red Dirt Studio in Mt. Rainier, Maryland, and to Dave Cahill of the Mt. Rainier Bike Co-op for event assistance.
