Creative Life in the Gateway Arts District

Route 1 Farmers Market – Tonight!

We are excited to bring to this wonderful historic and vibrant neighborhood and to the Prince George’s County Gateway Arts District The Route 1 Farmers Market and Bazaar.

Art Lives Here, Gateway CDC, Gateway Arts District Artisans and Prince Georges County Redevelopment Authority have transformed the former B&J Auto Lot and it looks beautiful!

TONIGHT (4pm – 8pm) at 4100 Rhode Island Ave, Brentwood, MD, we will we feature 3 LIVE Local Musicians from DC, MD and VA, local produce from 5 A Day CSA, concessionaires, wine tasting with The Timid Palate, and wonderful artisan vendors! TOMORROW (8am- 2pm), we have local Gateway Arts District farmer Commonweal, Hope Honey Farm and the return of Valencia’s Produce, more NEW artisan vendors and meet all of the Creative Placemaking artist to find out about their projects.

Common in many parts of the world, thanks to soaring summer temperatures, Twilight Markets are just catching on in the United States and Saturday Markets are a staple in many rural and urban cities. And we are delighted to bring this to the communities of the Gateway Arts District.

Many thanks to our sponsors and partners: Art Lives Here, Prince Georges County Redevelopment Authority, Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Landex Companies, and Community Fork Lift.

Learn More on our Route 1 Farmers Market Blog and we look forward to having you there this weekend!

Carole Bernard, Gateway CDC Executive Director
