As Art Lives Here grows in recognition throughout the Gateway Arts District and DC-MD-VA area, we are returning to our roots, to you, our artists and idea makers. We need your feedback, input, and ideas, on how Art Lives Here can continue to live and grow in the Gateway Arts District in 2014. The RFP for creative placemaking projects will also be released at this time.

Through the Art Lives Here initiative, the artist community is partnering with local businesses, two community development corporations, four cities, and Prince George’s County to increase regional visibility for the Gateway Arts District. Temporary and long term art projects and programs will enliven the two-mile historic corridor to support existing small business, attracts commercial in-fill, prepare for a new round of anchor developments, and further strengthen our diverse and streetwise creative communities.
